Mariem Bellal

“… I have always been working in Logistics. I started with DB Schenker fresh from college, then joined APM terminals and have been with APMT for 8 years now.”
WELCOME 🌟LEAD AFRICA #31🌟 our section that spotlights talented and skilled women who are contributing at their level and in their function to the development of the continent🌍

Let's discover Mariem Bellal Commercial Manager  at APM Terminals in Nouakchott, #Mauritania.

From her initial background in Business Administration, Mariem’s passion for logistics started when she was still a university student. She had an internship with a #logistics company and loved how dynamic the #shipping and logistics industry was.

“ I loved how my actions as intern help move shipments from point A to B and the direct impact we have on customers #supply #chains. My passion grew from there and I have been working in logistics ever since”

Mariem is one of a kind… wearing her heart on her sleeve.

" I am proud of an NGO that I launched with a group of friends for the support of cancer patients in Mauritania, a cause that is very dear to my heart.
We started in 2015 with an initiative to grant wishes to children with cancer, and the initiative grew to be one the main NGOs in Mauritania today in support of cancer patients, called “Esseid Tossad”, Arabic for giving happiness. We have many projects for moral and financial support of patients in need, with a dedicated office within the cancer hospital in Nouakchott and hundreds of volunteers dedicating their time to the NGO’s projects."

Mariem’s vision for women in logistics….

" I believe more and more #women are breaking the stigmatization and proving to everyone in society that they are more than capable of delivering in all industries. So, my vision for women in Logistics in Mauritania is to keep thriving and #lead the way to a more #diverse industry.

Kudos inspirational #leader for your commitment!
