Message from the President

Christiane Ohin-Traoré
Christiane Ohin-Traoré Founder

Equal opportunities in all sectors of the economy in Africa is a necessity for anyone aiming for sustainable development.

The trade, transport and logistics sectors are not left out, especially as their roles are increasingly strategic in the economic and social development of our States.

In 2021, I had a conviction that gave birth to a vision. I carry this vision with great passion. I made this vision my mission through Women In Logistics - Africa (WILA): inspiring women to achieve great things and make an impact within communities.

For me, the supply chain / logistics sector was an obvious choice.

My commitment to women's leadership, gender diversity and inclusion demonstrates my desire to change mentalities in Africa regarding the place of women as employees, traders, consumers and taxpayers. This is why WILA has chosen to focus mainly on gender-focused actions to deconstruct prejudices, limiting beliefs and stereotypes. Our organization leads a political, social and civic struggle.

Since April 2021, I have had the chance to be surrounded by women and men who understood the need to create an inclusive Africa in which men and women are valued whatever the field of activity.

And then, together we forged the WILA2030 Vision. Thanks to the Ivorian authorities, the private sector of Côte d'Ivoire and our entire WILA community in Africa for their support in the initiatives carried out by our organization.
